According to reports in Spain, Enrique and board of directors at Barcelona have not been given invitations. All 21 teammates of Messi have been invited to his union with girlfriend Antonelle Roccuzzo in Argentina. Several of the backroom staff have also been invited but not Enrique or any of the board of directors.

Messi's former teammate and Barca legend Xavi also opted not to invite any of his managers when he wed, and he will be present to see Messi tie the knot. The Argentine has asked guests to make donations to his charitable foundation rather than provide wedding gifts.
